Zum Glucklichen Matthias in Wyk auf Foehr

Unfortunately, we haven't covered themselves with fame in terms of service and friendliness. We had reserved a table weeks before the start of the holiday and pointed out that we had a wheelchair user with us. We were told that was not a problem at all. There would be a ramp. This was when we arrived (shamelessly with 5 minutes (!!!) delay) completely built up with the buffet. When we remembered that we had pointed out a wheelchair user, we received the answer that this was known. If it were "in the book" and whether that person could not "walk the few meters". ???? No, the (alleged) boss immediately became puffy and said: "When I say 6 p.m., I also mean 6 p.m." Not very convinced that the good man had set up the whole buffet in five minutes, we then left the location again because of this extremely cordial approach. Is very unfortunate. We have been going to Föhr every year for many years and unfortunately we had never made it to "Matthias". Unfortunately, the first attempt was a failure.

It was delicious and very cozy, the service was great, friendly and very attentive The food is delicious and everything is fresh ... We will definitely be back on our next stay 🤗🤗🤗

October 20, 2020 By luck we were able to get a table without a reservation. Quaint & rustic restaurant. Staff very funny. Food was delicious.

We have been visiting the restaurant for years and have never been disappointed to date. The food has always tasted very good to us, rarely seen such nice and friendly service. Everything is fine, please stay that way.

Very nice traditional restaurant. Best fried fish ever. And finally, homemade aquavit.

Our experiences: Positive: The food was average in price and quality. The rooms are rustic and have a typical island charm. The service was very friendly and courteous. Negative: We found particularly negative that the hygiene concept was not adhered to in any way; i.e .: the distances between the tables were clearly too small, the staff did not wear protective masks in any way and did not keep a proper distance from the guests. Overall, this clouded our impression lastingly.

Very nice service, she was also very attentive. The food tasted great and it wasn't overpriced. Good and interesting restaurant.

We were able to dine here for moderate prices. The schnitzel was just as you would imagine. Thin and juicy. :-) We were very satisfied. We put the average age on Föhr clearly with our 10-month-old son. You are still in good hands here with your children. We were warmly welcomed and can therefore only award 5 stars. We will be back.

Were eating there in the evening on 09/21/2020. The service was very nice and courteous. The meal was excellent. We can only warmly recommend it.

Very very good food! Operation perfect! Very quaint restaurant. Simply authentic! Fits perfectly. Portions could be a bit bigger but keeping everyone happy becomes difficult. That's why I don't deduct anything for it!

Once again it was very nice, friendly, courteous service, good service, great food. If you don't go out satisfied and full, it's your own fault. Therefore, we cannot understand the negative reviews at all. These people are likely to eat standing up at the French fries booth

We received a very friendly welcome and were served very friendly throughout the visit. The food was great and fresh, for a fair price. Great service! It's well worth a visit, but you need to reserve in advance!

It was really great. We were warmly welcomed. Our little son also felt very comfortable. The children's menu is very extensive and varied. The ambience is very pleasant. We will definitely be back.

Delicious food: we had "Matthias" steak pan and pan fish type of house. Fast and nice service, but the wine recommendation did not correspond to the wine served (we wanted semi-dry, wine was issued dry without information or the like). Great atmosphere, highly recommended!

Very quaint restaurant with fantastic Frisian home cooking. The rump steak was - despite being well roasted. Pregnancy - incredibly tasty and juicy. The herb butter was even homemade. The fish was also extremely good and plentiful (makes you feel full). The staff was attentive and friendly and the host very, very nice to all guests. We will be back for sure!

A place that you should visit at a Fehraufenthalt. Here's the right dish for every taste. The service is super nice and the beer comes quickly to the table. But beware! Reserve a table, otherwise there may be long waiting times. I can only recommend, call in time. Thank you for the lovely evening
